The flag took me over 10 hours to draw. The story of this flag goes back thousands of years. In the story, According to Persian mythology Kaveh was a blacksmith and led a rebellion to overthrow Zah-hak who had reigned on Persia for 1000 years. After the war, people decorated the apron using the blacksmith's leather apron on a spear as a flag with jewels and the flag became the symbol of Persian independence and resistance towards foreign tyranny. San Diego sunset, my niece and the moon was taken from an online stock photo. I wanted to create a dreamlike composite using a combination of warm and cool tones.
